Day 1: Arrival. Drive Paro to Thimphu
Pick up from Paro Airport .Depending on the arrival time of the Druk Air flight, you will either be served a
meal in Paro or be driven straight to Thimphu, 1 hrs. drive.
Evening free time relax walk around town.
Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 2: Thimphu Sightseeing : After breakfast
visit to National Memorial Chorten , visit to Buddha Point.
Drive to Painting School (the National Institute for Zorig Chusum) traditional arts and crafts like painting,
woodcarving, embroidery and statue making.
After lunch visit to Takin Preserve Centre to see National Animal Takin.
Evening visit to Tashichhodzong .
Day 3: Thimphu to Punakha/Wangduephodrang 3 hrs. drive.
On the way stop at Dochula pass which is 3,140 meters above sea level, during a clear day we can see clear
view of the Himalayas. After refreshments in Dochula the journey continues to Punakha. Lunch will be
served at the local restaurant.
After lunch sightseeing in Punakha: Visit to Punakha Dzong built in 1637 the former capital of Bhutan. It
lies at the confluence of the Mo Chu (Female River) and the Pho Chu (Male River). Punakha Dzong still
serves as the winter residence of the Central Monk Body.
Evening relax. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 04 : Punakha: After breakfast Hike to Khamsum Yuling.
Afternoon free time drive through the village and enjoy the beauty. Visit to Wangdue Dzong.
Day 5: Wangduephodrang/Punakha to Bumthang (216 km 8 -9hrs drive) 2,
After the breakfast drive to Bumthang via Trongsa. Lunch at Trongsa. is 129 kilometres from
Wangduephodrang. Check-in to hotel.
Sightseeing in Bumthang, Evening visit to the Jakar Dzong, which literally means “The Castle of White
Bird”. The current structure was built in 1667.
Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 6: Bumthang sightseeing: Visit Chakhar (Iron Castle) Lhakhang, , Visit Kurjey Lhakhang that is named
after the body print of Guru Rimpoche imprinted there. It was built in 1652 by Minjur Tempa.
After lunch, visit Membartsho ( “Burning Lake”),
Evening Visit to Tamshing Lhakhang (Temple of the good message), established in 1501 by Pema Lingpa and
is the most important Nyingmapa (a sect of Tibetan Buddhism) temple in the kingdom.
Evening walk around Bumthang town. Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 7 : Bumthang to Paro. After breakfast fly to Paro or Drive back.
Sightseeing in Paro: visit to the National Museum housed in the Ta-Dzong which was built in 1656 and
served as the watch tower of Paro Dzong in the past.
Visit Paro Dzong, also called the Rinchen Phug Dzong, which means fortress on a heap of Jewels. Paro
Dzong is one of the most impressive and well-known dzongs of Bhutan and was built in 1644.
Evening Free time .
Overnight at Hotel.
Day 8: Paro Sightseeing : After early breakfast hike to Taksang (3 hrs. uphill and 2 hrs. downhill.
Total 5 hrs. hike)
Taktshang monastery on the edge on a cliff about 900 meters above the Paro valley.
Evening walk around Paro town. Dinner in hotel.
Day 09: After breakfast Day excursion to Haa Valley via chele pass.
Dinner and overnight in Hotel.
Day10: Departure : After an early breakfast, drive to airport.
