Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Paro – Transfer to Thimphu

Day 01. Arrive Paro (By Druk Air): Our guide will receive you at the Airport. After lunch drive to
Thimphu. 1 hr. drive.
Evening visit to the National Memorial Chorten (1974) built in honor of our late King Jigme Dorji
Wangchuk,
Evening relax and Walk around town.
Dinner and overnight at Hotel.

Day 2 Thimphu – Sightseeing

Day 02. Thimphu – Sightseeing: After breakfast, Visit Buddha Point, visit to Painting School
where traditional art is still kept alive through instructions in the art of painting Thangkas (sacred
Buddhist religious scrolls).
After lunch visit Bhutan Post Office to see wide range of Stamps which Bhutan is famous for.
Visit Tashi Cho Dzong, Thimphu. Visit handicraft. Evening relax in the hotel.
Dinner and overnight at Hotel.

Day 3 Thimphu - Gantey

Day 03. Thimphu - Gantey: After Breakfast drive to Gantey via Dochula pass. (5-6 hrs drive) On
the way Visit Druk Wangyel chorten at Dochula. Relax for sometime view high mountains then drive
further to Wangdue. After lunch in Wangdue drive to Gantey Valley.
Evening Visit to Gantey Monastry.
Dinner and overnight at Hotel

Day 4 Gantey- Punkha

Day 04. Gantey- Punkha: After breakfast Hike to Gantey Nature Hike for 3 hrs. The valley is an
important wildlife centre in Bhutan and is the roosting ground of the endangered blacked necked
cranes that fly there from the Tibetan plateau during the winter ground, Explore Phobjikha valley,
Late Afternoon drive to Punkaha 2 hrs. drive.
Dinner and overnight at Hotel.

Day 5 Punakha - sightseeing

Day 5. Punakha : After breakfast hike to Khamsumuling Monastry. 2 hrs.
After Lunch visit to Wangdue Dzong. Visit to Chimi Lakhang.
Evening visit to Punakha Dzong. . Punakha Dzong built in 1637 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal
and is situated between Pho Chu (Male River) and Mo Chu (Female River). For many years until
the time of the second king, it served as the seat of the Government.
Dinner and overnight at Hotel

Day 6 Punakha – Paro

Day 06: Punakha – Paro: (4 – 5 hrs drive) After breakfast drive to Paro,
Paro Sighseing: visit Ta Dzong, an ancient watchtower, which now houses the National
Museum.

Visit to Paro Dzong.
Dinner and overtime at hotel.

Day 7 Paro – Tiger’s Nest Hike

Day 07. Paro, After breakfast Hike to Taksang Monastery ‘
Evening visit to Kychu Lakhang if time permits.
Dinner and overnight at Hotel..

Day 8 Departure

Day 08. Departure Early morning, drive to airport and farewell.
