Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Arrival in Paro – Transfer to Thimphu

Day 01:

Arrive Paro Bhutan by Drukair flight (Royal Bhutan Airline) or Bhutan Airlines. After
immigration and customs formalities, you will be received by Tsenden Travel Service representative and
travel to Thimphu. 1 hr. drive.
On arrival at Thimphu, check into your hotel if time permits sightseeing in the evening:


 Visit to Kuenselphodrang (commonly known as Buddha Point) where the largest Buddha statue
in the country is perched on the hillock overlooking the Thimphu Valley.


 Visit to Tashichhoe Dzong- a fortress of the glorious religion. It was built in 1641 by Zhabdrung
Ngawang Namgyel and was reconstructed into present structure by the late King, His majesty
Jigme Dorji Wangchuck in the year 1962-1969.It houses the secretariat building, the throne room
and the office of the king, and the central monk body.


 Craft Bazaar - one stop place to witness Bhutanese culture and buy Bhutan made art and craft
product. And also visit other handicraft stores. 

Day 2 Thimphu – Punakha via Dochula Pass

Day 02: Thimphu – Punakha: 70 km. 3 hrs. drive.

After breakfast drive to Punakha.

Sightseeing in Punakha:
 On the way visit Druk Wangyle 108 stupas in Dochula pass.


 Visit to Chimi lakhang . walk through the village.


 Evening visit to Punakha Dzong.


Dinner and Overnight at a hotel in Hotel, Punakha.

Day 3 Punakha – Paro

Day 03: Punaka – Paro:

After breakfast drive to Paro. 4 hr. Sightseeing in Paro:
 Paro Rinpung Dzong (fortress), built in 1645 to defend the valley against Tibetan invaders. The
Dzong is now being used as an administration center and school for monks. From the Dzong you
will walk down to Rimpung Bridge (Traditonal Cantilever Bridge), oldest bridge in Bhutan. 
 Farm houses in Paro Valley and a visit to a farm house offers a good glimpse into the lifestyle
of a farmer. 
 Paro town and market where you may visit local shops and have free interaction with local
people.
 Kyichu temple, one of the 108 temples built in the 7th century In the evening sightseeing to
village and enjoy meal with local people.
Overnight at Hotel.

Day 4 Paro – Tiger’s Nest Hike

Day 04 : Paro:

After breakfast Hike to Takasang Monastery . Total time 5 – 6 hrs.

Evening free time in Paro town.

Dinner and overnight at Hotel.

Day 5 Departure

Day 05 : Departure from Paro Bhutan
