JUMOLHARI TREK 2 (ROUND TREK)

It is a classic Nine -days trek starting from (Drugyal Dzong) Paro and ending at Dodena near Thimphu. The route passes through two high passes from Jangothang. The views of Jumolhari mountain of 7,314 metres(m) from Jangothang are spectacular. The trek is strenuous but very popular. The highest point on the trail is 4,115 m. (more info...)

 

 

JUMOLHARI BASE CAMP TREK

It is a six-day trek from Paro to the Jhomolhari base camp at Jangothang, returning via the same route or by an alternative trail to Paro. The view of the Jumolhari mountain (7,314 M) from Jangothang is spectacular. This popular trek also affords an excellent opportunity to see yaks. The highest point on the trail is 4115 meters. BEAUTIFUL LAYA LINGSHI TREK

This 15-days trek, an extension of the Jumolhari trek, takes you through diverse flora and fauna and provides an opportunity to spot the Blue Sheep, the Takin and the Blue Poppy, the national animal and the national flower of Bhutan. It will also give you a glimpse of the unique culture of the Layaps, a nomadic community that live in the northen fringes of the country and a chance to soak in the natural hot springs in Gasa.
